WordPress 2.9.2 Released
Feb 15, 2010 – WordPress 2.9.2 was released just hours back at WordPress.org. This release is said to do a security fix…
According to WordPress.org “Thomas Mackenzie alerted them about the problem where logged in users can peek at trashed posts belonging to other authors. If you have untrusted users signed up on your blog and sensitive posts in the trash, you should upgrade to 2.9.2. As always, you can visit the Tools >Upgrade menu to upgrade.”
If your have a blog/site which has only an Administrator i.e. you, without any registered users, this upgrade is not necessary. On January 4, 2010 WordPress 2.9.1 got released and today on Feb 15th 2010 WP 2.9.2, Within the end of August bloggers can expect WordPress 3.0 which will have lot more options than a normal Blog!{ Via Buzz6: WordPress 2.9.2 Released, Download the Security fix! }
Wordpress update are always handy but this update is useful for only those who have their registration open.
I will wait for latest WordPress 3.0 which have WordPress MU capability.
